It all started with a dream.
Manni and Petra’s story begins in the quaint German town of Bendorf, where both were born and raised. Though they grew up in the same place and even attended the same school, their paths didn’t cross until fate decided they were ready for one another. During their high school years, Manni and Petra were worlds apart. Manni was a rising star on the football field, a young protégé with big dreams of athletic success. Meanwhile, Petra was a free-spirited hippie, spending her days knitting, attending antiwar demonstrations, and dreaming of a better world. They couldn’t have been more different, yet life had a funny way of weaving their stories together.
As adults, both carved out their own paths in the hospitality industry. Separately, they built impressive careers, learning the ins and outs of running successful businesses. Then, over two decades ago, their paths finally crossed. It was serendipity – the meeting of two souls destined not only for a loving family but also for an unstoppable partnership.
Together, Manni and Petra became a powerhouse, channeling their shared passions into building a series of successful ventures. But one dream always stood out among the rest: opening a small restaurant on the idyllic island of Mallorca. They imagined a cozy spot where they could pour their creativity and love for hospitality into something truly special. Life, as it often does, surprised them. By sheer coincidence, they found themselves taking over Son Moll Café – a traditional German bakery in Cala Ratjada. What was supposed to be a quiet downsizing turned into something much bigger. Armed with imagination, ambition, and an unyielding work ethic, Manni and Petra transformed the café into a thriving business, employing over 20 team members.
From this grew Träumeria Son Moll, the heart of their culinary dreams. But their vision didn’t stop there. With passion fueling every step, they expanded further. The stunning rooftop terrace THE ROOF was born, offering unparalleled views and unforgettable dining experiences. And then came Xiringuito, a Mediterranean gem nestled right on the rocks of Cala Ratjada’s coastline.
What began as a dream became a testament to what love, creativity, and determination can achieve. Manni and Petra’s journey is one of transformation, growth, and staying true to their roots – creating places where people feel at home, inspired, and connected. And through it all, their dream lives on, growing with each new chapter.

Tobi
Tobi is the creative force driving all our events and culinary specials. With years of experience in international kitchens around the globe, he brings a wealth of knowledge and an unmatched passion for food. Not only is he a talented chef, but also a trained pastry chef, making every creation – from savory dishes to sweet treats – absolutely mouthwatering.
